Electrical Engineer
1. On a mission
At DeltaQuad, you’ll work on technology that truly matters. As a pioneer in long-range electric VTOL drones, we build robust platforms in collaboration with trusted partners, deployed worldwide across defence, agriculture, and inspection. Our drones are reliable, user-friendly, and built to perform in demanding environments.
We combine technical innovation with a pragmatic approach. What we do today determines where we’ll be tomorrow, and you’ll play a crucial role in that journey.
Our core values:
Partnerships: We grow together through long-term collaboration and shared success.
Customer focus: We think and act based on our customers’ needs.
Ownership: We take responsibility for what we do.
Innovation: We seek smart, practical solutions that work.
Excellence: We aim for quality and results.
Team spirit: We build trust, growth and enjoyment together.
2. The role
As an Electrical Engineer at DeltaQuad, you take technical ownership of the design and integration of mission-critical electrical systems for advanced UAV platforms. You are responsible for defining the electrical architecture and integrating subsystems, including power distribution, avionics, C2, and GCS interfaces, sensors, and mission payloads, with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and scalable series production.
You apply your in-depth knowledge of power electronics, energy management, and battery/BMS systems, and you are actively involved in the design and review of schematics and PCBs for high-power, high-reliability, production-ready, EMC-critical applications, ensuring designs are suitable for large-scale manufacturing and consistent quality.
You enjoy solving complex technical challenges, applying EMC/EMI, redundancy, and fail-operational concepts, and designing electrical systems that are robust, manufacturable, and reliable in series production, thereby contributing to a seamlessly integrated, operationally dependable platform.
Your work directly contributes to meaningful innovations that strengthen safety, resilience, and operational capabilities across Europe.
3. Key tasks and responsibilities
Extensive experience in electrical system design for mission-critical UAV applications
Strong knowledge of power electronics, energy management, and battery/BMS systems
Design and review of schematics and PCBs (high-power, high-reliability, EMC-critical)
Solid understanding of RF fundamentals (signal integrity, impedance matching, grounding) and integration of antennas, radios, GNSS, and data links
Strong background in EMC/EMI, including the coexistence of high-power electronics and RF communication systems
Experience designing for product stability, reliability, and large-scale series production
Experience with certification and compliance (e.g. aerospace and military standards, qualification testing)
Knowledge of FPGA-based systems, including integration, interfaces, and hardware–software interaction
Experience with redundancy, fail-operational, and safety concepts
Performing FMEA, FTA, and reliability and safety analyses
Defining and leading verification, validation, and acceptance testing
Experience with system integration of sensors, communication systems, RF links, and mission payloads
4. What you bring
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Systems & Control, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering, with a strong foundation in vehicle dynamics, control theory, and aerodynamics
At least 5 years of relevant experience in control system design, integration, or UAV/robotic product development
embedded controllers, sensors and actuators, as well as communication interfaces (CAN, UART, Ethernet) for real-time UAV system integration
Experience with UAV platforms, robotic systems, or autonomous vehicles, including simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop, testing, and flight validation
A proactive team player who communicates clearly, takes ownership, and collaborates across systems, mechanical design, electrical, and flight test teams
Committed to robust, scalable, and reliable UAV system solutions suitable for large-scale production and operational deployment
