Tough Questions, Real Engineering: DeltaQuad at De Techniek Carrièrebeurs 2026

DeltaQuad attended De Techniek Carrièrebeurs in Amsterdam, where two days of honest, technical conversations reinforced what we look for in the engineers we hire.

On April 24 and 25, DeltaQuad participated in De Techniek Carrièrebeurs at the Amsterdam RAI, a part of De Nationale Carrièrebeurs and one of the biggest engineering career events in the Netherlands. We spoke with hundreds of people over two days. The engineers who made the biggest impression were those who asked tough questions.

Booth 60 in Hall 8 was almost always busy. What mattered most was not how many people stopped by, but the quality of our conversations.

We had our engineers at the booth instead of just HR, because the most honest talks about working at DeltaQuad come from those who do the job every day. Visitors went beyond the usual job fair questions and asked about what really matters, such as failure modes, field challenges and the difference between what is designed and what works in real life. That is exactly what we hoped for.

The session that kept going

On the second day, our session about tactical aerial intelligence ran over time because there were so many questions. That did not surprise us. The problems we work on are complex, and the audience understood that immediately. There are no simple answers, and no one expected them. We value that kind of honesty in the people we hire.

What future engineers wanted to know

The Techniek Carrièrebeurs brings together engineering students, recent graduates, and professionals with a few years of experience. Over both days, we noticed a real interest in deeper topics. People wanted to know how systems work when things are not perfect, how hardware and software are designed to fit together from the start, and what it really takes to build technology that works outside the lab.

That is exactly what we do. We build autonomous aerial systems meant to work in those tough conditions. Reliability is not something we add at the end. It has to be part of every design decision from the start.

If you stopped by, asked tough questions, or stayed after our talk to chat, you probably already know if DeltaQuad is a good fit for you. The work will stay challenging. We are looking for engineers who see that as motivation, not a reason to walk away.
