DeltaQuad is proud to be a founding member of the Deep Tech Defence Alliance (DTDA), a European initiative to strengthen defence innovation and the Dutch Defence Technological and Industrial Base (NLDTIB).

DTDA unites leading deep-tech companies across the defence sector to accelerate development, increase European supply chain resilience and support strategic autonomy. The alliance focuses on key technology domains including autonomous systems, AI, advanced sensors, and other critical capabilities that directly support operational needs.

As a charter partner from day one, DeltaQuad contributes its expertise in long-range autonomous UAS technology to help drive rapid innovation from lab to battlefield. Together with our partners in DTDA, we are committed to advancing a strong and secure European defence ecosystem.

From lab to battlefield

DTDA unites the most innovative players in Dutch and European defence technology: from start-ups and scale-ups that invest more than 20 percent of their turnover in R&D to component manufacturers and production-innovation companies with single and dual-use products. DTDA already counts several dozen member companies, ranging from cutting-edge start-ups and scale-ups to established manufacturers with single and dual-use products. Focus areas include AI, quantum, advanced materials, autonomous systems, sensors, weapons, ammunition and space. The ambition: shorter development cycles, faster adoption and direct operational deployment.

Mission DTDA: Ecosystem-driven production

Near-shoring, adaptive production lines and secure supply chains require closer cooperation within the European home market. DTDA provides the network and leadership to make that collaboration tangible. DTDA promotes cooperation, innovation, security of supply and strategic autonomy for deeptech companies in the defence sector in the Netherlands, Northwest Europe and other NATO and EU countries. The model resonates with initiatives such as BRAVE1 in Ukraine, where battlefield-proven innovation is already shaping European security.

Policy alignment and leadership

The establishment of DTDA is fully aligned with the Defence Strategy for Industry and Innovation (D-SII 2025–2029), the STRAIIK-D Action Agenda and the Action Plan for Production Security in Unmanned Systems (APOS). The National Technology Strategy (NTS) highlights the same strategic technology domains. At European level, DTDA links directly to the White Paper on European Defence Readiness 2030. During the Defence Council (RBZ) in Copenhagen on 29 August 2025, the Netherlands positioned itself as (co-)Lead Nation for the Prioritised Capability Area “Drones and Counter-Drone Systems.’’

DTDA explicitly takes responsibility for shaping the innovation landscape, building a culture of coordination and leadership across the North-West European ecosystem. By helping policymakers develop instruments that match fast-changing operational realities, DTDA pulls policy closer to practice.

From supplier to partner

DTDA looks forward to evolving from supplier to strategic partner. In cooperation with NIDV and in dialogue with the Ministry of Defence, DTDA is ready to engage in public–private partnerships with Ministries of Defence in Europe that promote innovation, strategic autonomy and enhanced resilience. In recent months, leading deep-tech players have met bi-weekly to shape the alliance. DTDA is open to all private parties wishing to contribute to a resilient and innovative defence base. Organisations active in defence technology that are interested in joining DTDA and contributing to the European defence ecosystem are invited to contact for further information.
