At SSD Tallinn, the companies highlight how European-built long-range VTOL systems, regional support and local expertise align with evolving defence requirements across Estonia and the wider Baltic region.
Tallinn, Estonia, 15 June 2026 - As Estonia and the wider Baltic region increase their focus on unmanned systems, DeltaQuad and Meridein Group OÜ are using their joint presence at SSD Tallinn to address the growing demand for long-range, European-built UAS capabilities supported by local expertise.
The companies announced their commercial partnership earlier this year. Their joint presence at SSD Tallinn now provides a platform to address the market requirements driving demand for long-range UAS capability in the region, including endurance, reliability, rapid deployment, trusted supply chains and regional support.
Across the Baltics, the focus is moving from acquiring unmanned systems to scaling and integrating these capabilities effectively. This next step is critical to strengthening surveillance, reconnaissance and operational readiness. In this context, the ability to combine European-built technology with local knowledge, training, integration and lifecycle support is becoming increasingly important.
With local support, integration and industrial participation becoming more relevant in Estonian defence procurement discussions, DeltaQuad and Meridein see strong value in a regional approach that brings advanced UAS capability closer to the end user. This approach reflects a broader shift in which the requirement is no longer only about acquiring platforms, but also about how systems can be supported, maintained and integrated within operational environments.
Ross Jackson, Chief Commercial Officer at DeltaQuad, said, “The Baltics are moving quickly in their assessment of unmanned systems and the requirement is no longer only about acquiring platforms. There is a clear need for deployable, European-built capabilities that can be supported locally and integrated into operational environments. Our cooperation with Meridein is important because it combines DeltaQuad’s long-range VTOL technology with the local knowledge and support structures needed to make that capability effective in practice.”
Eduard Vainu, Chief Operations Officer at Meridein Group OÜ, added:“From our discussions with defence and industry stakeholders in Estonia and across the Baltics, we see clear demand for UAS capabilities that combine endurance, reliability and local support. Local presence matters in this market, not only for engagement, but also for training, integration and long-term operational support. Working with DeltaQuad enables us to bring a proven European VTOL platform closer to regional end users.”
The DeltaQuad Evo is a long-range fixed-wing VTOL UAS designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Its combination of endurance, vertical take-off and landing capability, and operational flexibility makes it suitable for demanding defence and security applications.
Looking ahead, DeltaQuad and Meridein are also exploring how local support, integration and lifecycle services could further strengthen regional capability. Any future localisation-related activities would be developed in line with operational requirements, end-user needs and the companies’ agreed commercial and technical roadmaps.
