On 6 October 2025 DeltaQuad signed a Letter of Intent with the Dutch Ministry of Defence at VDL Groep’s production site in Born. These agreements included the Ministry’s long-term strategic partnership with VDL Groep as well as a collaboration with DeltaQuad for the development and production of its unmanned DeltaQuad VTOL UAVs. Agreements were also concluded with Milrem Robotics and Tulip Tech for other defence equipment.
The Letter of Intent signifies the Ministry’s request for DeltaQuad to scale up its production of Evo VTOL UAVs. It is the first step towards securing the production capacity needed to meet growing demand and to contribute to European sovereign defence capabilities. Building on the existing partnership with VDL, the agreement demonstrates that DeltaQuad can extend its production line to VDL’s facility, gaining the mass and scalability required for large-scale manufacturing.
Beyond production, the cooperation also covers future innovation and operational collaboration. VDL’s flexibility and knowledge base will enhance DeltaQuad’s ability and reputation for rapid innovation alongside increased production capacity.
The Letter of Intent represents more than just a production agreement; it marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with the Ministry, focused on building a strong Dutch defence ecosystem. By working closely, the Dutch Ministry of Defence, VDL Groep and DeltaQuad can respond more rapidly to growing national and international demand and further strengthen the Netherlands and Europe’s position in defence innovation.
